He regularly networks with other specialists and studies the industry, including new regulations and pending legislation.
Mr. Lustig has been helping clients with intergenerational wealth preservation for over twenty-five years and has lectured extensively to accountants, attorneys, bankers, certified financial planners, charity development officers, financing consultants, funding consultants, insurance professionals, investment planners, pension advisors, trust officers, and all other types of financial professionals.
With firsthand experience and being privy to many unique family situations and uncommon will provisions, he uses his keen senses to turn data into information and his understanding of the human side of things to assess how a situation will play itself out and to determine what will or won’t work, and to notice things that others don’t.
Being involved with the next generation, helping children bring their parents’ plans to fruition, and experiencing what both generations think allows Mr. Lustig to provide valuable feedback to the senior generation in their initial planning stages, and to greatly increase the likelihood that their goals and dispositive intent will be realized.
This also allows him to adroitly shepherd clients through the process, saving them a lot of time, money, and grief by avoiding making false starts or going down dead-end paths.
Mr. Lustig has pioneered a new approach to wealth preservation planning with “CFPIT® Standard of Care, CFPIT® Wealth Preservation Infrastructure, and CFPIT® Solutions Toolbox, which fortifies and augments plans with greater certainty, flexibility, preferability, in tandem.”
He is frequently called upon to provide second opinions on funding/hedging vehicles and their financing arrangements, including insurance illustrations , life settlement proposals, and “free insurance” pitches , as well as for audit support and litigation support.
Mr. Lustig does not operate as a captive of any financial institution. He is independent and totally free of any conflicts of interest, allowing him to choose from among the entire array of options and to recommend any course corrections, scaling back, or termination of any existing arrangements. He prides himself on always placing his clients’ interests above his own.
Finally, Mr. Lustig has served as a master consultant to colleagues in his field for more than twenty years. Even seasoned professionals, when faced with daunting problems, turn to Israel Lustig for advice and counsel and to help them think things through.
His expertise on topics related to intergenerational wealth preservation has been noted in such publications as BusinessWeek and Fortune magazines.
